Summary
of Conclusions
It is apparent
from the experimental result that the author's hypothesis that
“gravity is a three dimensional analogue of electric current” is
supported empirically. A
simple device alters its gravitational field using electrical means.
1.
Introduction
Before
attempting to analyse or manipulate gravity (and mass) it is
essential to understand exactly what it is. Many of this author's
previous Papers, available for perusal on the website mentioned below
under '8. References', have been aimed at developing that
understanding. For the reader's convenience, relevant sections are
taken from the Papers 'Correcting some Fundamentals in Physics' and
'Mass and Gravity' by this author, and may assist in the
understanding of the phenomenon.
2.
Scalar Motion
The
relation of any one of the three space dimensions to a quantity of
time constitutes a scalar motion, s/t. Thus three dimensions of
scalar motion are possible. But only one dimension of motion can be
accommodated within the conventional spatial reference system. The
result of any motion within this reference system can be represented
by a vector (a one-dimensional expression), and the resultant of any
number of such motions can be represented by the vector sum (likewise
one-dimensional). Any motions that exist in the other two dimensions
cannot be represented. This is a shortcoming of the reference system.
In examining the nature of scalar motion it can be seen that this
type of motion cannot be represented in the reference system in its
true character.
Electric
current acts as a scalar motion (sometimes attached to a particle)
along one axis of 3D space, magnetic current along two axes, and mass
current (gravity) along three axes of 3D space. In a mechanical
system analogy, they equate to a line, an area and a volume. The axes
do not denote a position in space, but a relative direction with
respect to the other axes. It describes three scalar motions acting
at right angles to the others, which accounts for the behaviour of an
electric motor or generator, where the mass current (motion) ┴
magnetic current ┴
electric current.
3.
The Relationship between Gravity and Mass
Gravitational motion
may be identified as three-dimensional speed, which can be expressed
as s3/t3,
or (s/t) x (s/t) x (s/t), where s and t are space (length) and time
respectively.
The
mass (the
resistance that this negative gravitational motion offers to the
applied positive motion) is
then the inverse of this quantity, or t3/s3.
(The
SI equations for mass, m = F/a and
m
= F t 2
/ r
, when
converted to Space-Time (S-T) units of measure also yield t3/s3.
(Refer to the Paper 'Mass and Gravity' by this author for experiments
which alter mass).
That
is the reciprocal relationship between gravity and mass.
4. Gravity
Shielding Experiment
The
Hypothesis:
The author's hypothesis is that “gravity is a 3 dimensional
analogue of electric current” as discussed above.
The
Aim:
of this experiment is to test the hypothesis by using a three
dimensional electric current to oppose the three dimensional gravity
field of a device of the author's design and construction. The
following diagrams may make this a little clearer:

5. Gravity
Experiment 1
The electric
cathode is at the centre of gravity of the test device.
A
Powertec laboratory power supply, a Digitec set of electronic scales
and a multimeter are used in this experiment. The device used to
generate a 3D electric current is not described herein as it is the
intellectual property of this author and with further development by
a suitable manufacturer may have considerable commercial significance
in the future of the aviation, space and transport industries.
It
is proposed herein only to establish the validity or otherwise of the
hypothesis. Any alteration of the gravity field of the device will be
manifested as a change in weight of the device, given that weight =
mg, where m is mass, g is the acceleration due to gravity and weight
is a force (F = ma).
The relationship
between gravity and mass have already been noted above.
Method
The
current to the device was alternately switched on, then off, then on,
etc. for approximately 30 seconds while the scales readings
stabilised and were noted. Voltage was minimal in order to maximise
available current to the device from the Powertec lab power supply.

The data indicates an initial large reduction in weight
of the device which tapered off to the point where the weight with
current on and weight with current off converged over a period of 17
minutes. The following graph illustrates the above. The maximum
weight loss was 1.26 grams at elapsed time 16.30 minutes, a loss of
0.66273% of the initial weight.
Graph of the above Data
SORRY, GRAPH WILL NOT LOAD ONTO G+
Observations
It can be seen from
the graph that the electrical interference with the device's gravity
field caused a reduction in apparent weight. This extended to the
device even after the current was shut off between the periods of
applied current, but to a lesser degree. The major weight reduction
was recorded within the first 14 minutes, after which the weight rose
and fluctuated, but not back as far as the original weight recorded
at time 30 sec. The largest single reduction was from time 30 sec to
time 1 minute, a fall of 0.82 grams when current was first applied.
6. Conclusions
- It is apparent from the experimental result that the author's hypothesis that “gravity is a three dimensional analogue of electric current” is empirically supported by this experiment.
- Electric current flows from cathode to anode rather than the reverse, as suggested by the use of 'conventional current'. To the author's knowledge this experiment is the first time that electric current flow direction has had another frame of reference apart from that of the opposite charge or magnetic field direction, the new reference being the direction of gravitational acceleration.
- Magnetic current or magnetic energy played no apparent role in the experiment.
7. Further related Research Subjects:
- Gravity enhancement. The experiments involving mass alteration outlined in the Paper 'Mass and Gravity' showed that mass could be both decreased and increased by the coil apparatus used. It is expected that the same result will apply to the gravity field alterations because gravity and mass are two sides of the same coin, related by their reciprocity.
- Gravity Battery. Experiments to convert gravity scalar motion directly to electricity are planned by this author.
